Alpha Chi Sigma-Gamma Iota
Events
Interested in pledging Alpha Chi Sigma? All undergraduates can rush
except first semester freshmen and seniors graduating this semester
(exceptions for graduating seniors can be made if you plan to attend
Virginia Tech for graduate school.) The following majors can apply
as well as anyone with a Chemistry minor:
Agribusiness (Veterinary Business Management Option), Animal and
Poultry Science (Science Option or PreVet Option), Biochemistry,
Biological Systems Engineering, Biology, Chemical Engineering,
Chemistry, Crop and Soil Environmental Science (Biotech & Genetics
Option or Soil & Land Rehab Option), Dairy Science (Biotech/PreVet
Option), Environmental Science, Food Science & Technology (PreVet
Option or Science Option), Human Nutrition Foods & Exercise (Science
of Nutrition Food & Exercise Option), Wood Science (Adhesion Science
Option)
Graduate students and Faculty/Staff can join as well! The pledging
process will be catered to what you can and cannot attend. Prospective
members should be in a position of having or trying to have pure or
applied chemistry as their life work. Membership benefits include the
networking of a nationwide brotherhood of chemists, having a
membership basis to help you with your work and any
chemistry/community outreach activities you would like to do, forming
a bond with the other professors and students in the organization.
